Varley’s grip, her taut observation of nerve-wracking isolation, loosens and the film devolves into a blunt and clichéd consideration of family. The transition is awkward, and more cartoonish than moving, as the performers try to regain their footing.

The movie is absolutely captivating Ryan Gosling absolutely nailed his role as The Astronaut. Project Hailmary is very similiar to the movie Interstellar, but with a rather happy ending. i liked pretty much everything about this movie. 10/10

This movie is bad, especially the last 20 minutes. The actors are all great, but the goofy script makes them look silly. It wasn't scary, and the "suspense" falls flat. Then it tries to shift into heartwarming? Just... no.

Kate Mara was excellent as always. It was a bit predictable after seeing the face of her space suit helmet crashed in, the residue on her face, and the hole in her space capsule. What surprised me was that Fishburne used her as bait to lure in the space creature. Her morphing into a creature was creepy! The opening sequence and music reminded me of LIFE with Jake Gyllenhaal. Those Japanese drums are cool!

I’m not going to lie this may have been the biggest waste of my time. This shit was so ass. U start off faded w ur boy Shifan on the couch scared as hell because holy shit it was scary. I was thinking "Damn, this was a great choice" while covering my ears cause of the jump scares (u feel me?) And then all of a sudden this scary movie turns into sum ET ass bullshit. Why did the monsters go from scary asf to friendly and neon? Did the husband crack Alien puh? How was she an alien and didn’t know that shit? Also just like overall WTF? That shit was buns. Could’ve been sum special but yikes. Deadass go back and change how it ends. Gaf.
