Movie Info

James Coburn is "The Baltimore Bullet", a legendary pool player who's seen better days. Coburn "adopts" aspiring pool champ Bruce Boxleitner, teaching him practically everything he knows. As we know it must, the plot requires Coburn and Boxleitner to face each other in the climactic winner-take-all match. As much fun as Baltimore Bullet is, the film can't help but be dwarfed by the 1986 Hustler sequel The Color of Money. Ronee Blakely proves an appealing heroine, while several real-life pool greats (Willie Mosconi, Irving Crane, Steve Mizerak etc.) show up in cameo roles.

Audience Reviews for The Baltimore Bullet

[img][/img] This is the story of 2 pool hustlers who want to play the best (The Deacon). Well at least one of them does (The Baltimore Bullet). He just got out of prison and only plays for 20,000 or more per game. Which is straight pool up to 150. The problem is that the baltimore bullet needs 20,000 to play him. So what is he going to do to get it? A pretty simple story with some big name actors involved as well. Baltimore is played by James Coburn, and The Deacon is played by Omar Shariff. Both of them play these roles really well. I bought this movie for my father over a year ago well he finally watched it so I borrowed it. Most of the other actors are mediocre and there is some cheese involved. However, if you enjoy watching or playing pool there is some good stuff in here. There are even a lot of cameo's by professionals. Steve Mizerak is in this and Willy Mosconi the guy who made most of the tought shots in the Hustler is in this as well. If you are not a fan of pool don't even think about watching this. If you are you may enjoy it for a one time viewing. I just couldn't make it fresh because it lacks in a lot of areas!
