It's as if, like the rest of the cast in this riotous non-event, [McConaughey's] having so much fun making the film that he simply doesn't care. Good for him.

The Beach Bum is undoubtedly Harmony Korine’s friendliest movie, as the filmmaker tones down his Jean-Luc Godard meets John Waters envelope-pushing tendencies and alienating techniques, yet there’s still a lot of edge to be found in the film.

Insane. Best line is when reckless father says to responsible daughter when did you become a Republican. Script scenes was not quilted well together. Didn't understand purpose of movie which might have been the point. Also, actors Snoop, Matthew, Fishers other than Efron & Hill couldn't go 110% into their roles. You sensed their personal and censor limits. There are great movies made even with actors and censorship limits you don't sense while watching. You heard agent's (Hill) voice speaking without lips moving. Pineapple Express and Harold & Kumar are better movies. Best thing about The Beach Bum movie is soundtrack. Probably need to smoke one to enjoy movie which is a sad.

This very uneven film is Harmony Korine’s follow up to Spring Breakers and while it shares some of the same qualities as that earlier cult classic - a neon, dayglo aesthetic, a focus on outsiders and marginal characters, a louche and appealing decadence - this movie is a meandering mess. At times it succeeds in some humour or characterization, almost in spite of itself, but for the most part it is a directionless bore. It’s a shame because the talent involved in this film is very impressive, but unfortunately the actors are severely underutilized in a silly, plotless, druggie motion picture.

Filme mais ou menos, o roteiro é fraco, o filme tem poucas partes boas, e parece que matthew mcConaughey está maconha o filme todo, tem cenas de nudez bacana, mas o filme não é interessante, teve uma cena de um tubarão que ia matar o cara, mas só arrancou o pé do cara, foi forçado essa parte era para ter morrido,e eu só recomendo por causa da nudez no filme.

The movie simply nothing to laugh at. Matthew McConaughey is a favorite actor of mine. What is with all the smoking, every scene! This movie was a big disappointment.
