The Blue Knight Reviews

  • Dec 15, 2011

This isn't necessarily a full length movie but rather the pilot episode of the short lived beat cop TV drama Blue Knight staring George Kennedy in it's title role. After seeing this I would actually like to see the other 23 episodes. It's too bad it didn't have more of a life because I really like 70s cop dramas. Not as hard hitting as say Starsky & Hutch it's still pretty good & benefits from having a lot of familiar faces from 60s & 70s film that did some television work especially Alex Rocco. Kinda loses it's pacing a bit when it tries to include a romantic interest that isn't really explored but Im sure there's more of it in further episodes but it's greatest strength is Kennedy's police work. A little over weight for a beat cop as it's painful to watch him run
