Critic Reviews for The Brasher Doubloon

All Critics (3)

... something of a B+ movie, a low-budget treatment of Raymond Chandler's "The High Window" made with ambition and style, at least in key scenes.

March 24, 2013 | Full Review…

Entertaining on its own merits as a B-grade thriller, but certainly not the best film version of a Raymond Chandler novel.

July 28, 2006 | Rating: 2.5/5

It's just smart enough of a film noir to be considered a classic.
