Terrible film out of Japan not worth your time! I say SKIP IT!!!
A girl seeks to save her douchebag boyfriend from the terrors of a rundown Thai hotel. There's a cool/creepy monster-child, but that's about all this movie had going for it.
The Pang Brothers continue to show they've lost the inventiveness and creativity that made earlier flicks like the original The Eye and Re-Cycle so enjoyable with this generic and silly ghost story set in a decrepit Thailand hotel.
The Pang brothers are master directors, but there are two incredibly odd shots where they have objects obscuring the people. Decent haunted hotel movie with a cool depiction of Chinese Hell. It's a far cry from career highlights Bangkok Dangerous and The Eye, but fans of Asian ghost movies should dig it.
This Hong Kong horror film from the Pang Brothers (The Eye, Re-Cycle, The Messengers) features the visionary imagery and mise-en-scene of their best films, but it never quite coheres into great horror film. I did not see the film in 3D, so some its obvious 3D scenes no doubt lost some of their effect. The Pang Brothers manage to create some truly creepy and visionary imagery, but the film often feels stale and unengaging in between these memorable moments.
Now I like the Pang Brothers, but this movie was terrible.
its not a direct sequel to the the eye but it is a sequel
Decir que es mala, es halagarla :P
Child's Eye is a convoluted mess. Usually with supernatural thrillers you need to set aside the grasping of rules from the real world...but this movie really wants you to give up a lot for the sake of a story. A really, really bad story, and a dog-girl....
Usually the Pang brothers delivery the goods, but this movie was just so lacklustre...acting was bad, zero character development, a ghost that doesn't make sense, and a twist that is just thrown in for the sake of having a twist.
this is a very cheap quality movie..the plot is confusing. It's not scary(there are attempts). Not a movie worth watching
