You'll be engrossed for much of the film but in the end, you'll probably walk out thinking, "what was all that build-up for?"

It is not that there are no moments of implausible action, but the truth is that they are much more dosed, and therefore, it is a more complete spectacle. [Full Review in Spanish]

It is a good option for those who want to go to the movies, buy some popcorn and hang out without complications. [Full Review in Spanish]

Bumbling but not without a certain entertainment value for its constantly debased and sometimes risible narrative, The Commuter really only goes nowhere fast.

The identity of the "surprise" villain was obvious before the script was even written. But Liam Neeson's committed performance provides a strong center to an increasingly outlandish storyline.
July 2, 2019
If you have a specific penchant for Liam Neeson shouting at people and punching them in the face, then The Commuter just might hold enough entertainment value to satisfy.

Liam Neeson takes too many familiar turns.

What you see is what you get with The Commuter, the latest in wash-rinse-repeat Liam Neeson in a vehicle action-thrillers.

Gets the job done, doesn't overstay its welcome and has some fun, ambitious small-scale setpieces.
