An egregiously unpolished film that still manages to glow with an otherworldly charm. Go to Full Review

Yolanda O @yolandao25 Sep 23, 2026 The Dreamer Cinderella was a very touching movie. It emphasized the importance of dreaming, believing in yourself, and not giving up towards your goals. Love how the movie captivates the bond between Xochitl and her sister. True example of sisterhood and family first. Overall, it was an enjoyable and inspiring movie- highly recommend! See more Ruth R @RT60143947 Sep 22, 2026 With everything going on in the world right now, I think this movie hit me a little differently. It’s a reminder to hold onto your dreams, your culture, your family, and the people who make you feel like you belong. Being so close with my own sister, I especially connected with the relationship between the sisters. I saw so much of that real-life sister bond the love, the disagreements, the protectiveness, and knowing that at the end of the day, you’ll always have each other. There were also some funny moments throughout the movie. It was just a beautiful reminder that even when life feels heavy, we shouldn’t stop dreaming or forget where we come from. See more Patricia J @RT98808010 Sep 22, 2026 I saw so much of the Hispanic experience in the U.S. woven into this story. Xochitl is a fruit-stand worker who unexpectedly gets the chance to become a movie star, complete with a glamorous makeover. But I loved that her transformation wasn’t really about becoming beautiful. She was already beautiful in the ways that matter—humble, hardworking, intelligent and full of integrity. People simply hadn’t taken the time to see her. The bond between Xochitl and her sister also felt deeply familiar: sacrificing your own opportunities because seeing your sibling succeed is reward enough. Family first. The story touches on racism, class and immigration, too. Watching Xochitl’s father, after 25 years in the U.S., be taken by ICE, die in detention, and then seeing Xochitl face deportation herself was heartbreaking. Ultimately, it’s about being unseen, sacrificing for family, and finally being seen for who you’ve been all along. See more Rosa S @RT79609572 Sep 22, 2026 Beautiful movie with a heartwarming story. I love that this is another movie that beautifully captures the full story of a Mexican dreamer. I’m very happy that the director and everyone involved in making and producing this movie came together to make this film. True Latino representation is very important especially in times like this and I am proud to see my community do big things in life such as this. Inspirational movie and great story! I love Xochitl's love for her sister and willing to do anything so she can go to law school. I would love to see a sequel to see what happens to Xochitl's future. Though politically relevant, this script was not awesome. See more Read all reviews
