Movie Info

Blackie Dawson (Lionel Barrymore) is a reformed crook who is given a small package by a blind beggar in front of a New York cabaret. Moments later, Blackie finds the man beaten to death with his own cane. Blackie returns home and discovers the package contains precious jewels. He hides the valuables in his safe and installs electronic alarms to safeguard the jewels. Soon the villain "Evil Face" comes looking for the jewels and he and Blackie have a knock-down brawl, and when the villain touches the dial to the safe, Blackie flips the switch that electrocutes the crook. Blackie learns the jewels belong to the Grand Duchess (Seena Owen), who plans to use the precious stones to restore the monarchy in Russia.
