Aaron D @Doober 02/26/2024 Some good moments and some bad moments. Acting overall was unconvincing. The practical effects were good for the budget but better to show less next time. And constant use of camera distortions and sudden frame changes make for a jarring, annoying watch than a scary one. Definitely some promise though. Perhaps some polish and a higher budget would allow the crew involved to expand and jmprove. They Make use of tension and dread by the bucket full. This short but effective movie shines. Diluted in 2 further sequels, the power of the scares ware off. But this original really should be seen by more people. See more 12/24/2021 All I ask of a found footage movie is that the acting be good. This movie doesn’t have good acting. Very cheesy VHS ripoff. The ending was fairly effective. See more 10/20/2020 THE FEAR FOOTAGE is the Horror film to see this Halloween Season. Simple premise- Neighbors report a disturbance at a house. A cop is sent to a house to investigate. He is never seen again. This is his body cam footage... Hands down the Gear Footage is scariest film I have seen in ages. And, I’ve seen some pretty scary ones recently like HELL HOUSE LLC, and HOST. This kept me glued to the screen all the way until it ended at 1:45am. I don’t think I’ve jumped or yelped in a horror movie this much in, like, forever. My nerves were fried by the halfway mark, I almost turned it off to finish watching in the daytime— as it was THAT scary... I hope this doesn’t give me nightmares.... if you enjoy horror films, this is a must. See more Read all reviews
