Mar 27, 2016David Fincher at his finest, The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is both a great adaptation of a fantastic book but also a disturbing look into the human psych, lead by a bravura performance by Rooney Mara, a great visual look and feel, and a hypnotic score by Atticus Ross and Trent Reznor. Feb 06, 2016Well acted, beautifully shot, well made plot and Rooney Mara putting a lot of dedication to her role. The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo is a dark thriller that will make you immediately interested. The only flaw that I had with this film is that I felt that rape scene should've been handled differently rather than actually show it happening. I'm not the type of person to be like "This movie is disturbing and violent I hate this vial crap!" one of my favourite films of all time is Seven which ironically is also directed by David Fincher, but I felt that rape scene was unnecessary to show. That's my only flaw, this is a very well directed movie that you should definitely watch.Mr N Super Reviewer

Dec 24, 2014In this film, a smart tech-savvy investigator named Lisbeth (Rooney Mara) decides to help a journalist named Mikael Blomvist (Daniel Craig) investigate the serial murders of several women. The film is cool and sleek and Lisbeth is an engaging character for her practical wisdom. She knows how and when to use her judgment of a situation to prepare herself from danger, for instance, or to protect herself or others. The biggest problem, in my view, is a very brutal rape and torture dropped early in the film. Not only is it unsettling to audiences, but it seems quite exploitative both toward the character Lisbeth and the actress Rooney Mara who plays her. If that or the revenge sequence following it were not in the film, it would be an almost perfect celebration of a very prudent and brave woman whom we could all learn from.Billie P Super Reviewer
