Now a loyal but troubled public-relations representative for the Catholic Church, Clemens is disturbed to learn that a man he knows does not possess capacity for murder has been accused of a crime beyond comprehension. It's a nice looking wintry crime drama involving a gay priest accused of murder that turns icy as the story goes into a skid and never recovers.

Audience Reviews for The Good Shepherd

I sat down to watch this movie because I thought it was The Good Shepherd movie with Matt Damon but I was wrong. But I decided to watch the movie anyway. This movie is about a priest (Slater) who believes that his fellow priest is innocent of the murder he's accused for. He starts cooperating eith a journalist in order to clear the priest's name. I wasn't all that amazed by this movie and it was a bit boring at times. Christian Slater's effort was the best thing about this movie.

I was surprised at first at how accurately the film portrayed the interactions of the priest and his superiors, despite having the constant distraction of seeing Slater as a priest - a bit miscast, to say the least. But while that be the case, I have to say that he rose to the occasion admirably. The characters were interesting, and most of them believable, but unfortunately, the plot began showing signs of strain early on. The cast did their best, but by the last third of the film, it was obvious that this ship was sinking quickly. The pat ending was no surprise, and I was left with the feeling that I had pretty much wasted another hour and a half of my life. Too bad. I really wanted to like this film.

The Confessor starring Christian Slater as the priest. This movie had promise, but it didn't quite pull it off. It was a mish mosh of subplots that just pooped out, leaving the whole movie disjointed. The characters were so undeveloped I felt nothing for them...nothing.The movie dragged on and just when I thought it might get didn't.
