Movie Info

As the debate over immunization rages on, filmmaker Kendall Nelson speaks with medical specialists, parents, and health care specialists in order to find out if the U.S. government has knowingly suppressed information about the potential side-effects of common vaccines in a noble yet misguided attempt to slash disease rates. Meanwhile, the families whose lives were forever changed by vaccines weigh in with their experiences, and opinions on the pharmaceutical industry.

This emotionally manipulative, heavily partial look at the purported link between autism and childhood immunization would much rather wallow in the distress of specific families than engage with the needs of the population at large.

These profiles are frank, absorbing and heartbreaking, if also a bit inconclusive.

The documentary makes slightly more than token gestures toward presenting both sides of an issue.

Audience Reviews for The Greater Good

This film is anti-vaccine propaganda dressed up as an unbiased documentary. Why are only supposedly vaccine injured children's stories told? Where are the stories of kids who died or were permanently injured due to preventable illnesses? Propaganda. Not a single actual fact is brought to light by the film. Only a train of unsubstantiated claims and fear-mongering.
