Movie Info

In the early 1990s, Baumeister, a local business owner and family man, bought a quiet estate just north of Indianapolis on contract. In 1996, authorities recovered more than 5,000 human bone fragments on the property from as many as 17 victims. Only five were positively identified. Current residents and visitors to the property have reported unsettling feelings, unexplainable noises, and even seeing apparitions inside the house and around the grounds. Hoping to document some of what they've been experiencing, Hall filmed a paranormal investigation team, including psychics, a demonologist, EVP and visual specialists, as they investigated the 18-acre estate over a six-month period.

Pretty eerie stuff, though it's legitimacy cannot be certain from the film alone. There are some neat moment captured on film, and a lot of recording, and yet no solid evidence. Not the best editing, or most believable crew, but it's creepy documented fun.

A documentary about a serial killer that I thought would be much more interesting than it was. The budget here was minimal ($25,000) and it shows. Much of it was shot with lighting used by paranormal investigators who were trying to contact either his victims or Baumeister himself. The Electronic Voice Recordings (EVPs) were about the only phenomena I found interesting. All of it could have been faked.
