Structurally the execution is not anything special, the supporting characters are not well developed and a lot the suspense is removed since it is known what happened to the civil war sub. However the actors are believable, the visuals, cinematography and music all help bring it to a level that is doable for a civil war film.

my new favorite War Between the States movie
This is a very good movie. It is very interesting to Lear about how the first submarine worked and what happend to everyone on it.
A well presented and often tense drama about the first submarine prototype used in the American Civil war.
Cool film about the world's very first submarine.
Interesting war story about the battle aboard the manually propelled submarine during the siege of Charleston.
