We were pleasantly surprised by The Jack in the Box. The cinematography and visuals are impressive, and the brooding score is excellent, setting the mood well. The cast is quite strong, especially for an indie horror of this budget, where acting is normally questionable at best. The storyline doesn't cover much new ground (it's essentially Anabelle with a clown nose), and is predictable at times, but nevertheless kept us watching. In a sea of low budget horror flicks that more often than not disappoint, The Jack in the Box certainly stands up amongst the crowd, and is recommended for an easy watch.

absolutely amazing film, i watched it with my seven year old son and he loved it so much he couldn't sleep for weeks. outstanding acting and the plot was more gripping then my asshole
