There was a super heartwarming theme to it all, one I understood and agreed with. I liked the third act and how it wrapped things up...but just because the message is good doesn't mean that it worked.

While lacking a bit of the first's inspiration and relying too much on the human world surrounding the LEGO Universe, The Second Part still does its job quite well in providing quality entertainment for both kids and adults alike.

The warning is clear: Our greatest enemies often are by our own making.

Everything's still pretty awesome and "The Lego Movie 2" certainly backs that high-bar up.

The movie uses lots of cultural references and jokes which appeal to a very wide age group. It is a movie suitable for the whole family. It is funny, the characters are interesting, and it has a nice positive message. What's not to like?

A simple and pleasing sequel, but lacks the reaches of the previous film. [Full Review in Spanish]

A surrealist, pop culture tornado that whirls you up and spits you out in a state of post-playtime delirium.

The LEGO Movie 2: The Second Part is not as amazing as the original, but the doses of fun increase once the film overcomes its initial problems. [Full review in Spanish]

In everything from writing to humor to songs, the sequel is operating at about 75 percent capacity of the first film

A very loving, very endearing and very competent sequel.

None of it is remotely as creative or inspired as last time... Still, it looks great, it moves fast, and it's funny more often than it's not.

Embarrassingly charming, although far from the original, Lord and Miller already have the galactic movie that LucasFilm did not let them finish. [Full review in Spanish]

If corporations are far from disappearing, we may as well give ourselves the opportunity to use them as toys the way that The LEGO Movie 2 successfully does. [Full Review in Spanish]

The premise is played, but there's still some fun to be had, and you can see it with your kids.

Almost everything is awesome in Mike Mitchell's obligatory sequel...

The storyline is all over the place, and the action is too often manic, but at least "The Second Part" retains enough pop-culture references aimed at parents to go with the slapstick humor that makes the kids chuckle.
