While the screenplay, structure and rhythm are far from perfect, there's no denying that Jimenez is a talented director of actors and action and that he excels at getting the most out of each shot in terms of production value.
The Man with an Iron Heart is a well-acted film recounting one of the bravest assassination attempts in history.
... Iron Heart takes an excellent, eclectic cast and gives each member space to shine, even if the film around them fails to quite match their lustre.
A good cast fight a losing battle with a film that feels muddled and lacking in tension.
.. excellent and awe-inspiring transfiguration of Jason Clarke. [Full review in Spanish]
This is not a typical war movie, but your emotions will be at war.
It doesn't take advantage of its interesting cast leaving the feeling that doesn't bring anything beyond of what the cast achieve. It simply doesn't work. [Full review in Spanish]
The deviation of the story makes Jimenez's approach of Heydrich to lose solidity. [Full review in Spanish]
If Jimenez wanted to make an analysis of the origin of the evil and its terrifying normality, falls short putting the hostile profile of the film to discuss about the divine and the Arendtian. [Full review in Spanish]
