Critic Reviews for The Priest's Children

It's tightly plotted and contains some smart narrative shifts, but the tonal high-wire act is ultimately too ambitious for Croatian director Vinko Brean to pull off.

This maintains a bright, cartoonish tone no matter how outlandish or gruesome the story gets, with the growing disparity between form and content providing some of the better laughs.

I have to tip my hat to Bresan, because I was ready to hate this film (unintended pregnancy-what a funny joke!), but he's an expert judge of tone, and I ended up enjoying this sharp satire.
