Audience Reviews for The Scarlet Letter

The sound design is by far the worst part of the film, but the acting, screenwriting, and pacing are close seconds.

We are watching this version of the movie in my Excel English class. Now, I enjoy the book, Meg Foster and John Heard. But, it's a touch slow. Little well projected emotion with the archaic language, and... not quite filmed as many miniseries are today. So, I gave it a five because I'm in the middle on this one. I've only seen the scaffold scenes, and the important points that go along with the important chapters. Perhaps I will see all of it one day.
