The Shark Is Still Working isn't necessarily better than The Making of Jaws, but it trods less familiar ground.
While the main players (Spielberg, Scheider, Dreyfuss) have appeared in other documentaries, they are more relaxed here, telling stories never told before with a sly wink like someone finally betraying a secret
The Shark Is Still Working is well worth a look for diehard devotees of Jaws (and even those who just love 'Shark Week')
pulsates with the kind of admiration and genuine love for film that is all too often dismissed as overeager fanboy veneration and not recognized as the kind of passion that keeps art alive and kicking
leaves no fin unturned
A masterful companion piece to the various supplements surrounding the perfect popcorn hit, it's the smart and insightful sugar coating on three decades of fascinating fish stories.
Erik Hollander's 'The Shark Is Still Working' answers pretty much everything you could ever want to know about the making of Steven Spielberg's 1975 breakthrough film 'Jaws' and a few things that aren't all that interesting.
A stupendous documentary...an adrenaline rush of nostalgia and sloppy fanboy kisses that packs more historical perspective in its dorsal fin than most retrospectives spend a lifetime chasing.
"It's one of the best documentaries I've ever seen. A top class production with bite. Bravo."
A fantastic exploration of the movie that started it all...
It's inarguably the most comprehensive study of the film (and its fans) ever compiled.
An absolute must-own for anyone who's seen Jaws at least 10 or 12 times.
An exhaustive doc about the making and impact of Jaws.
