TheMovieSearch R @TheMovieSearch 6d The Simpsons in Plusaversary is a strange crossover special that tries to mix The Simpsons with Disney+ characters in a chaotic party setting. The concept is interesting at first, but the execution leans too heavily on random humor and shock value instead of a strong story. Most of the special revolves around Disney characters in a bar-like environment, drinking and acting out of character for comedic effect, which quickly loses impact. Goofy, Donald, and others are used for exaggerated jokes, while Mickey is kept mostly in the background, making the tone feel uneven. Some visuals are amusing in a surreal way, like the Beast using Pinocchio’s nose in a pool gag, but it often feels more random than clever. While there are brief funny moments, the lack of structure and consistency makes it hard to stay engaged. Overall, it is a novelty idea that is interesting once but not very memorable or rewatchable. Goofy and Homer were the only funny parts of this. Totally not Disney shoving IP down your throat and calling it satire. Classic Simpsons would definitely of had Lisa sing a song about how great Disney+ is. Having Bart be the evil Mickey Mouse stand in is obviously an excuse to shoehorn Bart in there. It was not that interesting, and the song in it was so bad that it was good, but this short was still okay. I mean, it was a short, so it wasn't full length. The Simpsons Plusaneversery is not a great short, but it is simp ely okay. I give a this short a 65%.
