Two detectives begin an investigation on the ethics involved in the top-secret research facility, Porton Down. One experiment, in particular, stands out to them as the most horrific, The Sleep Experiment, a scientific experiment that took place during the Cold War. The experiment consisted of five prisoners, deemed Enemies of the State, being locked in a sealed gas chamber. An airborne stimulant was continually administered to keep the subjects awake for 30 consecutive days. The prisoners were falsely promised that they would be set free from the prison if they completed the experiment.

The film falters in its writing and storytelling, leaving little surprise as it concludes. Go to Full Review

There’s a lot of potential here, and the result is a film which, whilst disastrous in some respects, works well in others. Go to Full Review

Kayla Mar 26, 2025 Very slow beginning but good ending. I think this almost shows how the experiments were in the 19th century. See more Finlay T @RT54904232 Dec 2, 2024 Do not waste your time please this movie is not worth any amount of your attention. It isn't even good enough to be a movie you watch in the background. See more Derren L @RT81492321 Mar 2, 2024 Dreadful bore. Wished I never clicked on the movie it's truly a waste of time. The movie has potential that it never lived up to. It almost put me to sleep. See more B T @Btmack Jan 15, 2024 If you're looking for an incredibly predictable, somehow boring "horror" movie with almost painfully stale acting, then you've come to the right place. Get ready for 5 minute long sob-story monologues back to back followed by senseless scenes of the characters grabbing each other, yanking each other around and screaming. You'll find yourself laughing at the needlessly overdramatic scenes that seem to drown out the actual intense scenes. Not worth the watch, unless you're trying to fall asleep quickly 😴 See more Peter T @DogeRangler Dec 31, 2023 The acting was so bad I initially thought it was dubbed. This is based off the Russian Sleep Experiment creepypasta but somehow is significantly worse than the amateur writing of the original. This should've been good; it wasn't. See more Stan C @RT32110125 Dec 31, 2023 This movie evokes the Russian Sleep Experiment creepy pasta and is a far inferior product. The basics are the same: prisoners offered freedom if they can withstand the 30 day sleep experiment and gas will be pumped in for all 30 days ensuring they cannot sleep. What happens? Well, it's a far cry from the creepy pasta, so don't expect anything that good. Instead, we get a mostly boring collection of memories about what happened. Unfortunately, most of it is just the prisoners freaking out in their own ways. While there is what passes for a twist, it's absolutely forgetful and pointless. If you're going into this because of the creepy pasta, just don't. There is nothing similar about what makes the pasta interesting, not in story or execution. This is a cheap cash grab from talentless hacks. Even if they didn't want to rip off the creepy pasta entirely, they could have gone in so many directions. Instead we got a boring movie not even worth a free watch with commercials. Flush this one away. See more Read all reviews
