It takes you on a journey through the woods, leading you into a small town where seemingly insignificant details become pivotal elements. While I thoroughly enjoyed this film, I must admit that foreign films often lose some points due to the language barrier, which can be challenging to follow while reading alongside the film. Despite this minor setback, the overall quality of this film remains quite solid. The Soul Eater could be a boring episode from that series. Still, you have to say that the film is at least somewhat entertaining. It does manage to create an atmosphere, and the story is a bit suspenseful too. I watched it and it was okay, but nothing you absolutely need to see. See more Logan D @Greynomad38 05/31/2025 Two detectives investigate missing children in a small mountain village which has it's own mythology built upon a creature known as the Soul Eater. I was unaware this was the same duo that directed Inside, a delightfully visceral viewing experience. This film begins well. I was intrigued by the local lore and anticipating some supernatural causes for the missing kids. Sadly, as the film progressed, I realized this was just a police procedural film with some fine acting but a predictable endgame. Not recommended and not a horror film at all. See more prawnda s @RT72497680 04/18/2025 very overrated. has a few moments, overall is derivative and slow paced, very skippable. some parts of the twist ending are well done, overall the series of twists put together was well below average. the film is also just not medically or procedurally informed at all, so the investigative aspects fall apart under very light scrutiny.
