Movie Info

A young telepath races to uncover the truth about his unique abilities, and the government plot to exploit them for their own gain. John Lazarus (Nick Stahl) can read minds. Ever since he was a child, the NSA told John that his telepathy was the result of a rare disease. But when John meets Kira (Taryn Manning), he realizes that his life has been one big lie. No one with John's ability has ever lived to the age of 29 with their sanity intact, and now his own time is fast running out. With nowhere to run and nothing to lose, John determines to get answers, or die trying. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi

Audience Reviews for The Speed of Thought

Evan Oppenheimer is probably not a name that comes quickly to your mind should conversation casually turn to interesting writer/directors working in the trades, but it should be. The guy's got solid instincts regarding entertaining storytelling premises, but if this film is typical he lacks a strong finishing flourish. For instance, despite the suggestive title at no time in this film about mindreading does the speed of anyone's thinking play any factor in the story at all, when if it did it could've made for some uplifting developments. But nooo. The cast does as well as it can considering those limiting circumstances.
