Critic Reviews for The Sylvian Experiments

Those occasional flashes of fright don't add up to a satisfying or cohesive whole.

Audience Reviews for The Sylvian Experiments

½

A truly bizarre piece of Japanese horror, The Sylvian Experiments features an awesome premise and some genuinely creepy moments. Unfortunately, the film as a whole suffers from almost incomprehensible plotting. The film concerns medical experiments meant to bring about the spiritual evolution of humankind, and hence its lack of cohesive storytelling could be purposeful. However, it fails to ever seem functional and instead merely detracts from a film that could have been much better.
