Audience Reviews for The Telephone

Since the world expected a comedy, this did not do well in theatres. However, it has the tight and engrossing quality of a one act play, and is dark and clever at the same time. Nice twist at the end if someone has not already told you. Serious role for Goldberg which shows her vast range of talent and Rip Torn really brings out the best in the script.

Absolutely Amazing, go Whoopie...and the ending...that was freaiky. This movie is worth watching again just to see what you missed.

What on earth was Whoopi Goldberg thinking when she made this mess? My understanding is she at least made an attempt to sue to prevent it's release, and I don't blame her. It is just a boring movie that is not worthy of her great talent.
