Adam B 01/11/2025 Three Michaels is refreshing and honest. It follows the lives of three people chasing their dreams, capturing the humor and struggle of wanting to be more. I found it relatable, and doesn’t try too hard to impress—just a real look at what it means to keep going, even when life doesn’t go to plan. See more Paul A 12/03/2024 I love this documentary! It manages to be so many things at the same time: a quest for the American Dream, a roadtrip movie, a muse on both fatherhood and the Michael Jackson phenomenon. There are some great comic moments, but there is also tremendous emotion and pathos in this film. It is structured in a way that compels you to keep watching, and you end up really wanting to see how things turn out for the characters. There are also some rather unexpected happenings that occur in their quest for fame, which makes the film a cut above other documentaries of this type. Seeing this film made me do just this, not because of the three guys it’s about nor the quality of the film, but because of the anger that has started to build up the more I watch. Anger at the producers and whoever thought that it was acceptable and a good idea to create this film that’s CLEARLY an attempt to exploit, subtly make fun of, and lead on three young men that without doubt are “on the spectrum” and need guidance and advocacy, and several other types of assistance. They need genuine help, not filling their heads up with lies and getting their hopes up on them “making it “ in the industry as the new Michael Jackson’s. For the large amount of people behind the scenes of the creation of this ridiculous film to think it’s ok and actually go through with exploiting those men and playing on their intellectual capacity just for entertainment is foul and they should be INFINITELY ashamed of themselves for doing so. I pray those sweet young men receive all of the help, support, stability, resources, and advocacy that they desperately need and deserve immediately.
