It plays out like a prettier, sexier Guy Maddin film. And its pan-sexual theme is not without a dash of humor. The beach fight/orgy scene complete with flying feathers and sand alone is worth the price of admission.

Disturbing imagery of sexual violence and pederasty, such that the film made me feel physically ill. Some may find the fevered and strange nature of the film, the low budget special effects and bizarre scenes intriguing, and more to them. For me, I wish I had never seen any of it. It definitely did elicit a visceral reaction from me, but so does stepping in warm and fresh dog feces, which I think I would have found more enjoyable. I think some will enjoy it, and the actors clearly put soul and sweat into the roles. I kept watching to see how disturbing it could get until I could not physically endure.

the cinematography alongside the amazing acting led to the greatness that is "the wild boys." the twists in the plot and the articulation made for one of the best films i have seen in months!!!
