Movie Info

Virginia filmmaker David Williams used non-professional actors for this portrait of 365 days in the life of 13-year-old Nina (Nina Dickens), as she runs away, returns home, and tries to raise money to buy a car by babysitting and mowing lawns. Narrated by her mom Lillian (Lillian Folley), the film is a follow-up to two of Williams' earlier films, the feature Lillian (1993) and the short Nina Split in Two (1988). Shown at the 1997 Toronto Film Festival and the 1998 Berlin Film Festival.

It is unique, the expression of particular voices, a deep understanding of the characters and an interest in who they are.
