A pretty standard plot, well executed. Sylvia Sidney is delightful in her dual role Most of the supporting cast is fine except, surprisingly, Cary Grant who, while not bad, is still finding his way a bit as an actor. And Vince Barnett who's Count Nicholaus becomes tiresome.

Cute piece of fluff with a fairytale twist. Cary is charming and suave but this is Sylvia's movie all the way. In a dual role she is quite fetching and her china doll beauty highlighted in some beautiful clothes.

This romantic comedy is as predictable as the next, but the comedy part of it is really funny and sweet. I found this movie very enjoyable.

3: Sylvia Sidney is a great match for Cary Grant on screen. She seems to belong far more to the silent era than most stars of the sound era. She has that unique look that seems best suited to the 20's. I can think of few actresses that seem so sweet and unassuming. Cary Grant doesn't have a whole lot to do, which is certainly one of the major failings of the picture. The story is a variation of one that I've seen on screen many times over the years, but everything works well enough here to keep things more than interesting.

An early screwball comedy script by Preston Sturges. A silly movie for a cold night snuggle.

Interesing movie. Why does he play reporters so much? Enjoyable as long as you're not expecting a masterpiece.

This movie is precious...full of cheesy acting and gooshy old romance.

Quaint but enjoyable. This little known Cary Grant film is worth a watch if you are a Grant fan or just don't mind taking film lightly for a change.
