Dane B. M @RT88449406 1d I'm giving this a 'good' rating. Why it got such a low rating from the critics is puzzling. The characters were well played, especially Djimon Hounsou. The music was foot-tapping. Production design good. And the special effects were quite realistic. The toxic bubba dad was a little irritating. The addition of the sharks was a tad dumb but, if you can get past the fact this was no Jaws or Citizen Kane, then you'll like it. As a film buff who watches 100s a year this is literally the worst film I've seen. Terrible acting, awful story line. A women fights off a shark after just giving birth in the water, ridiculous. Ending on a cliff hanger because they're clearly hoping to make another film but good luck to that. I cant believe Netflixs bought this, what were they thinking.
