Unfortunately 'Till the Clouds Roll By' is lacklustre in the story department relying too heavily on its lavish musical numbers to get by. This hodgepodge of directors provides a very mixed and uneven film where the use of multiple directs is evident. One star with Judy Garland as this films only saving grace. 'Look for the Silver Lining' is a classically beautiful number
The best musical movie ever made!
Use you chapter search function to skip the plot, which is strictly dulls-ville, and head to the musical numbers, which are top-notch.
I watched about half of the film. Jerome Kern's greatest hits!
Although it's a highly fictionalised life of Kern, it is such a great pleasure to see Garland, Sinatra, Horne, Lansbury and many others perform in one film!
primo big budget musical as only MGM could do
really, lots of things are missing here, but thanks to this movies at least now i knew a little about jerome kern
