Made for TV. 80's style western based Sci-fi. Flashbacks of moments in time that led to artifacts at an auction and time travelers. Not box office but good for TV. Predictable ending.

Made for TV sci-fi thinner about history professor William Devane getting mixed up with time traveller Lauren Hutton who is trying to stop evil time traveller Klaus Kinski from changing history by changing the outcome of a stagecoach raid in the old west. "Primer" or "Time Bandits" this movie is not, but taken as a 1980s style SyFy movie of the week, it's pretty enjoyable. I'm also a sucker for anything with the insane Kinski in it. It's a good cast that also includes John Ratzenberger, Forrest Tucker, Tracey Walter, James Avery, R.D. Call and hardcore wrestling legend Terry Funk as "Bearded Cowboy."

If you made a Lifetime movie that was part western and part time travel scifi, that would be cool. This was not. It did have a young Uncle Phil though.

Any film with both Klaus Kinski AND John Ratzenberger has got to at least be watchable. HOWEVER, throw some time travel in there and (for me at least) it's unmissable.

That said, this film is pretty cheesy and it loses steam after a while simply because the time travel gimmick is fairly simple and at just under 100 minutes, the flick is a solid 30 minutes longer than it needs to be. Still, it's silly fun, especially for seeing Ratzenberger in a live-action role.

Classic time travel film with western overtones, could do with being remade as looks so dated now but has some great ideas.

Another strange time travel movie that uses leftover western props and scenery that Hollywood must have lying around all over. Kinski chews the scenery at times and is mysteriously un-emotive at others. The story takes itself so seriously, but it isn't that interesting. Hutton and Devane don't have much chemistry. Hutton's character coming from the future and the jewels used for time travel are intriguing elements.

Cheesy time-travel flick. Watchable as long as you don't think too hard about the time travel conundrums that would render the entire plot moot -- like, if you can travel through time and you want to catch a bad guy that used time travel to escape yesterday, why don't you just travel back to last week and nab him?

One thing was kinda cute. A guy wants to slip into a secured area, but there's a fence and guards in his way. So he just teleports back 60 years in time before the facility was built, walks to where the middle of the compound will be, then teleports himself back to the present. Of course, if thinking like that were continued throughout, the entire plot of the movie would have to dramatically change.
