01/23/2022 Best and funniest film we've seen for ages. Ignore the silly low score and watch it. See more 07/02/2021 Is there a simplistic, insulting stereotype this film doesn't exploit? Let's see. We've got offensive depictions of Jews, lesbians, gay men, African immigrants, and Muslims... So unless you're a bigot with who enjoys truly stupid dialog and stories utterly lacking in credibility, three-dimensional characters, satisfying plot, or dramatic resonance, perhaps you'd be better off avoiding this one. See more 09/30/2019 This film was downright offensive to so many groups under the guise of comedy. The characters were insultingly cliche (Jewish, Muslim, Senegalese, LGBT, humans). This is one to skip (unless you are studying what NOT to do when trying to make an intersectional film). Warning: SPOILERS AHEAD! SPOILERS: an unreliable, dishonest, bisexual protagonist manages to find her "happily ever after" in a throuple (without ever discussing this arrangement with the man and the woman involved), leaving her conservative father (who has fainted and may have heart trouble) writhing on the floor at her brother's wedding at the end of the film. Somehow, this is supposed to be a happy ending? Among other problems... Senegalese Muslims are portrayed as antisemites who need mirco-loans; male-male sex is ridiculed--likened to birds cooing and strutting around each other; there are some-my-Mom-brought-up-the-Holocaust-again moments that are supposed to be funny; and there is an odd scene where the Jewish bisexual protagonist entices her male Senegalese Muslim paramour to eat a bite of sausage. That is really just the tip of this iceberg for this disaster of a film. It is chock-full of cringeworthy moments. See more 02/15/2019 HORRIBLE Movie. An insult to all LGBT people.
