good cast, the director needs more effort. dammnit! He's insulting the manga!

Il film più di genere all'interno della saga fino ad ora, ha una serie di belle robette. Niente male!

A slight uplift from the first one, but it still carries the same pros and cons the predecessor had. And would someone please fix the description?

Replay is a very suitable subtitle for this third film in the series. It starts off much weirder than the previous installments. This time Tomie starts her life as a head in a young girls stomach. It was a very unsettling and queasy opening and probably the most memorable moments of the series so far. It plays to the same beat as the last two films, with Tomie gradually manipulating and possessing the lust of man. This time though, men are literally infected by her as she gets into their bloodstream and begins to regenerate. Once again it's cheap, but not as noticeable as the TV movie that proceeded it. A pretty good continuation.

If you've never seen a Tomie film, watching this one first will have you wondering what the hell is going on, and would suggest to watch this after viewing other Tomie movies. Director Tomijiro Mitsuishi gives the fans another "Bakemono" film with a solid story plot that somehow makes it the worst of the series. Synopsis: After a young girl has an operation at the hospital, she is sent back immediately due to pains in her stomach that leads to an unprecedented Tomie Transformation. This could easily have become the best Tomie film having had a fine plot with some excellent cinematography by Hideo Yamamoto, but without a strong enough cast to support the film much less a budget, it failed to meet it halfway. Although it has some strong horrific scenes that might just make you cringe when viewing, the rest of the visual effects were not so special. Of course the most beautiful Japanese actress to wheel the role of Tomie had failed miserably to deliver a finer performance amongst the others who've dominated; she wasn't at it alone as some of her cast didn't seem to follow threw, but one things for certain about "Replay" and that's the story surrounding Tomie is a pretty good watch regarding the fact that "the girl who won't die" is not in the film a lot like in previous Tomie horror flicks.

One of the most violent Tomies in the series, this one actually shows her "true face". The actress isn't as much pretty as she is sexy, but she doesn't look like a Tomie to me. Still she does manage to hold the character together (for the most part). The movie is by no strech of the imagination good, but it is just so much better than the others that it is scary.

Holy crap...the third installment in the Tomie series is the best yet. A young girl with a freakishly distended stomach is rushed into emergency surgery. They cut her open and out pops...a head! Tomie is alive again and she's just a head...a living head. They drop the head into a fluid-filled tank and it eventually grows the rest of its body and a naked Tomie is loose in the hospital. This film firms up the MO of the demon Tomie. She causes some poor bastard to fall madly in love with her and completely rules his lie until he goes crazy and kills her. Then she comes back and kills her killer and starts all over again. Good stuff...fun Japanese horror flick.

Weird and suspenseful. I will look into the other "Tomie"-movies and recommend this one to friends that like japanese horror.
