01/20/2020 2 stars because it's a classic See more 01/20/2020 Yo I know this movie is trash but there is so much comedy in it I love it. It's worth the nonsense See more 12/15/2019 My friends and I were dying of laughter while watching this absolute MASTERPIECE! See more 11/13/2019 While the movie itself is actually terrible, it is so terrible it’s hilarious. The acting, the script, the accents, the portrayal of American life. Watching your friends reactions when they watch this movie is worth the torture of enduring it. One liners last a lifetime! See more 10/14/2019 (I am reviewing this movie based on my overall enjoyment of the film) This movie is the king of the so bad it's good genre. One of the things that separates a good-bad from a bad-bad, is the intention to make something good. Tommy Wiseau absolutely intended on making the best movie ever "With all the passion of Tennessee Williams". He even kept it in theaters long enough to try to qualify for an Oscar nomination. Instead what he created was a masterclass in terrible film making. Many movies fail in multiple departments. But rarely does a film fail in; writing, directing, editing, production, acting, set design, sound department, art department, prop department, wardrobe, and music. It's so bad that it evokes full belied laughs and confused smiles. Plots are set up and abandoned. The sex scenes are painful to watch. Characters relationships are vague and undefined. But undoubtedly the dialog is the stand out star. The things the characters say when interacting are so bizarre it is jaw dropping. Lisa is as heartless and vindictive of a character as you can write. The performances are the worst of the worst. Probably because of Tommys alienation of his cast, and his demand that actors be far more dramatic then the scene calls for. The story behind the film only makes it all the more fascinating. If your interest has been peaked after seeing Tommy Wiseau's The Room, I suggest reading The Disaster Artist written by Greg Sestero who plays Mark in the movie. It deep dives into the madness of making The Room and the mysterious history of Tommy Wiseau. See more 10/12/2019 This is the best so bad it’s good films I have ever seen See more Read all reviews
