Movie Info

Following the Bolshevik revolution, a pair of royal Russian aristocrats escape with the Czar's fortune--an enormous amount of money which has been entrusted to them. This romantic comedy chronicles what happens when they get to Paris, place the fortune safely in a bank and then, because they took nothing for themselves, get jobs as servants to survive.

Although this is a fine comedy, with a great cast, it's not quite up there with the great comedies from the 1930's. Claudette Colbert is always a joy. Nice production, amusing screenplay and an impressive supporting cast.
