Jacob B @JB3.0 3h Always nice to see the Minions being considerate of others rather than how flanderised they became later on. Not that they were layered characters to begin with but separating them from the Gru family and giving them their own subplots of minimal plot relevance might not have been the brightest of ideas, though at least the 3rd film had the excuse of addressing a plothole introduced by the 2015 film's retconning. Just remember, sometimes less is more, even if I don't find the Minions grating enough for me to really have any beef with them, beyond accusations that they and Illumination hold back animation from realising its full potential.
