The Ultimate Gift is a good family movie; it is about, faith, money, and hard work. The acting in the movie was good, and not cheesy, although it is not a very new movie. The main character Jason Stevens (Drew Fuller) is a (spoiled rich kid) adult who has always had everything handed to him. After the passing of his grandfather Red Stevens, the family gets together for the reading of the will to see what each of the family will inherit. Jason soon finds out that to get his inheritance he will have to go on a journey through a series of 12 gifts. In the movie, he will befriend a girl named Emily (Abigail Bresin) who is a leukemia cancer patient. Her acting was great and she had me laughing throughout the movie. The main character finds himself seeking his self-worth in money, and soon learns that there is more to life. This movie has many good life lessons in it, which I find enjoyable in a good film. If you are looking for a good wholesome movie for all ages with a few tears than this is the movie for you.

Critics are stupid, audiences are not: example no. 46. The Ultimate Gift is a heartbreaking and heartwarming film that focuses on many thought-provoking themes with dedicated performances from its cast including a charming Abigail Breslin and the character of infinitely patient Hamilton. It sends messages about how money can't buy you happiness, if you want money you have to earn it, forgiving your family members for a certain action they regret doing and the upsetting idea of dying. Which is even worse when it turns out you're likely to die prematurely. Watch The Ultimate Gift with your family and consider preparing tissues for when you're about to watch the movie.

An interesting story with a good meaning.

A naive propagation of stupid approach to christianity has nothing to offer and shows only sentimentality in it's worst and kitschiest way. The flat psychology of the characters caused by an obvious bad direction is extremely annoying as well as obtrusive moralizing.

This is a fabulous movie. The values are time tested and those who dislike the movie based on "religious speechifying" need to get a life!

The Ultimate Gift is a disappointing film. It is about a deceased billionaire who leaves his spoiled adult grandson a series of odd tasks to perform in order to receive "the ultimate gift." Drew Fuller and Abigail Breslin give terrible performances. The screenplay is badly written. Michael O. Sabjel did a horrible job directing this movie. I was not impressed with this motion picture.

Cheesy, simplistic, predictable. But Ms. Breslin is absolutely outstanding, and now I want to watch Little Miss Sunshine just to see her in a better movie.

Great story and acting. This movie should be mandatory watching for students so they can learn to be grateful and prepared for life. I'm not sure why the critics rated it low, as I was very pleased with the entire movie.

I found this movie to be very inspirational, and taught real life lessons. instead of the banal, foul language movies that are found today.
