Two college students fall in love at first sight, each attempting to maintain the ruse that they're financially stable as they enter into a whirlwind romance. Paloma works as a secretary at Belisario Quintana's auction house, and Marcelo studies hard as his impoverished parents struggle to pay his tuition. In an attempt to impress the beautiful Paloma, Marcelo claims to be from a family of wealthy ranchers. Nervous, Paloma responds that she's Quintana's daughter. In fact, Quintana is not just her boss, but her family's landlord as well. Each time Paloma goes to pick up her paycheck, Quintana's real daughter Sylvia gives her one of her used dresses. Though this gives Paloma the appearance of being wealthy, she could never afford such lavish clothes on her own accord. The closer Marcelo and Paloma get, the more their deceptions start to unravel. ~ Jason Buchanan, Rovi
