One can't help but think that in the hands of a shrewder filmmaker like Errol Morris, this stranger-than-fiction account would have been absolutely riveting. Go to Full Review

The film's many dangling threads... are obscured by a crescendo of sentiment that's hard to resist. Go to Full Review
Chris Packham Village Voice 04/29/2014
A nakedly manipulative film, intercutting missionary Faunce's history with shots of a ludicrously glum and silent family dinner, and indulging in some treacly sad-face piano music. Go to Full Review

This is the kind of movie that leaves viewers emotionally spent, yet it raises as many questions as it answers. Go to Full Review

05/29/2015 5/28/15 One more reason documentaries can be better than main stream movies. Is he really a MIA or not? Is the government hiding any info because of super secret MACV-SOG operations? Is John who he claims to be and do the people who recognize him like his sister and fellow soldier make the argument that he is. Lots of compelling images to support this man is truly John Henry Roberstson but still no proven DNA. This story doesn't seem to be finished. See more 11/04/2014 I wish this were mandatory viewing for every Congressman and Senator in the U.S. A really moving, powerful film that pays tribute to Vietnam veterans - vets who are still searching for truth and validation. We owe them, their families and those still missing a renewed effort to uncover this mess that still haunts us all. See more 05/03/2014 Heartbreaking story about one POW/MIA and the shockingly, fraudulent behavior of US governmental officials who refuse to help this poor soldier who gave his life for his country or even acknowledge his existence. This man is only one of 80 or 85 thousand POW /MIA's. Hopefully this will shake up the status quo. See more 05/18/2013 Absolutely brilliant!! See more Read all reviews
