Though uncritical of NY designer Mizrahi, docu is everything that Altman's dreadful Ready to Wear should have been: An insider's view of the fashion world that's hip, light, authentic, revelatory, and always amusing.

This movie has all the elements that Miramax's other fashion film, Robert Altman's disastrously received Ready to Wear, didn't, including intrigue, humor, irony, pathos and real live supermodels.

Mizrahi is such a flambouyant character that we are fascinated by him the whole time he is on camera. He seems to have a natural comic timing, as do the editors of the film.

Audience Reviews for Unzipped

I loved it because it just goes to show what a weirdo Isaac Mizrahi is and what a strange world fashion design is. Talk about falling out of any sense of reality.
