Movie Info

This entry in Big Idea's morally conscious animated series Veggie Tales finds the gang of singing vegetables putting an Easter spin on Charles Dickens' classic novel A Christmas Carol. When the curmudgeonly Ebenezer Nezzer begins using mechanical chicken to unleash plastic Easter eggs on London, it's up to Bob and Larry, as Londoners Cavis and Millward, to teach Nezzer about the true meaning of the holiday. Along to help them is an angel called Hope, voiced by Grammy-winner Rebecca St. James.

Audience Reviews for VeggieTales: An Easter Carol

One of the funniest things ever put to the screen, An Easter Carol is an enjoyable, lighthearted movie that everyone can have fun with. It features stand-out songs and a good message that goes beyond its religious roots.

Eh, I've seen better Veggie movies. It got rather hokey at times, although I did enjoy Rebecca St. James' accent and the "Boids" song (a tribute to The Music Man's "Rock Island", perhaps?). But I wouldn't own it or anything. 1

Fun and meaningful. Since it's a take on A Christmas Carol, it's a bit predictable, but it's just fine for kids.
