Movie Info

THIRD WORLD COP: Jamaica's first digitally shot feature film, THIRD WORLD COP is driven by an outstanding reggae/dancehall score (compliments of Sly & Robbie). When Capone (Paul Campbell), a no nonsense police officer, returns to his old neighborhood in Kingston, Jamaica, he discovers that his best friend from childhood has become an important figure in a dangerous gunrunning racket. It is up to Capone to clean things up before the criminals can take over the community. DANCEHALL QUEEN: A poor Kingston street vendor, the principal breadwinner for her struggling family, finds new vitality after discovering the pulsing, anonymous world of the dancehall. Not only can she allow herself the freedom to become a star, she may also be able to win the lucrative dancehall contest and pull her family out of despair. A reggae/dancehall-fueled, original musical drama shot on location in Kingston, Jamaica.COUNTRYMAN: A peaceful Rastafarian fisherman becomes an unwitting player in an international political scheme when an airplane crashes into a nearby swamp. Later, when violence breaks loose, he displays an almost magical ability in hand-to-hand combat.Songs include: Wally Badarou - "Obeah Man Dub," Bob Marley - "Natural Mystic," Human Cargo - "Carry Us Beyond," and many, many more.
