A woman looking for the keys to her history uncovers a secret that has affected the lives of several people close to her in this drama from Greek filmmaker Panos Karkanevatos. Angela (Marina Koem) is an American woman of Greek heritage who has never met her real father. Angela knows little about her biological dad besides the town he came from, so with the help of her stepfather she travels to Greece to find him. Angela soon discovers an important link in her family's history -- Athanasia (Stavroula Logothettis), a woman who fled the village in disgrace years before. When Athanasia was a teenager, she fell for a man who was engaged to marry her older sister, and became pregnant with his child. When Athanasia's indiscretion was discovered, she was disowned by her family. With nowhere to go, Athanasia feared for her future until she was befriended by a visiting photographer, who took her back to his native Canada. Will Athanasia reveal the truth about the man she loved? Athanasia was an official selection at the 2008 Montreal World Film Festival.
