Political documents from prior generations can't help but lose their force, and yet this is just as powerful now as it ever could have been.

Audience Reviews for When the Wind Blows

I tried, I really tried, but I could not get through this film. I heard of all the depressing themes of it, but I wasn't deeply affected by it, I just couldn't watch it, as the film is so slow. I just couldn't do it.

This modest little film with a big message has stuck to me since I first saw it in 1988. I am surprised at the little attention it has received since it's release. At times you forget you are watching an animated film. Music by David Bowie seals the deal.

A grim cold war film. It features a unique live action-animation mix which works well. This tale of companionship following a nuclear blast is hard hitting and sticks.
