There's an interesting (and still quite funny, I'm certain) movie to be made about girls discovering their bodies and learning about sex before actually having it. This isn't that movie, however.

Audience Reviews for Wild Cherry

Wild Cherry is not one of those films you watch thinking it's going to amazing. I knew it would be stupid and have bad acting and bad everything else. But I was looking for a mindless brain numbing movie and that is what I got in Wild Cherry. It made me laugh a couple of times. The scene with Tia Carrere yelling out "PUSSY IS POWER", had me dying. It was just so silly and stupid. Then there was the part where all the girls trick the boys to strip, be blindfolded, and to stand under a water fountain while they blindly fondle each other thinking it's one of the girls. I think that was a great prank. So even though the movie was by far one of the dumbest I have come across, it still gave me a few laughs. I won't be seeing it again though.

it's hard and risky to make a high school comedy about having sex for the first time, and although wild cherry seeks to take an original approach... it ultimately isn't enough to make it the standout p13 success that it hoped to be. to have a story about losing virginity these days and to make it funny and original and authentic is like trying to open up a new mexican restaurant in san diego... you can try, but why bother when there are hundreds already in business who have got that shit down!? love love all the actors but obviously from this straight to dvd release i was't expected oscar gold. the story is your typical virginity-losing drama that has been told and told and retold countless times only this time its weird because strangely the only virgins left in school are the three hottest girls in the class which is just so unbelievable it hurts. the plot is contrived and the male actors are just too old to playing high school students that i couldn't really get past that even though they are all adorable and funny. some cute highlights and and overall not awful... makes for a nice afternoon cable flick, though... i'm not quite sure what network would want to buy it.
