Movie Info

Flesh-eating zombies, exploding heads, UFOs, transgendered love, and rock & roll are all on display in this uber-"B"-flick starring Japanese punk band Guitar Wolf. Helmed by noted video director Takeuchi Tetsuro -- known as "MTV Man" in Japan -- the film duly opens during a Guitar Wolf concert with leather-clad rocker Ace (Endo Masashi) watching agog in the audience. During a bloody confrontation between Guitar Wolf and his sleazy, hot pants-wearing manager the Captain (Makoto Inamiya), Ace

The sort of film that makes you want to down a bottle of vodka, throw your TV out of the window, set your house on fire, and pogo naked on the roof screaming, "ROCK AND ROLL!!!"

It has to be seen to be believed, as this Zen-Buddhist/Romero/Ramones road-movie blasts its way at full volume.

The film is silly, to be sure, but it's done with such unbridled enthusiasm that it makes you want to go along unquestioningly.

Audience Reviews for Wild Zero

Japanese greaser Ace is befriended by the band Wolf Guitar, who give him a whistle to call them, which comes in handy when a town is overrun by zombies. Basically, this movie is about the magical power of rock n' roll (and to a lesser extent, love) to overcome the undead; it's more "awesome" than "good."

Dvd that comes with its' own drinking game, Very loud Rock and Roll, guns, zombies, alien attacks, comedy, action, drama, sci-fi, and horror. They even throw in a 1 inch penis.

Low budget b-movie featuring the extremely loud, garage punk, japanese band Guitar Wolf. Loud movie that shows love has no boundaries and rock and roll can save the universe
