It requires more than just setting reality aside for a while. It mocks reality.

Fluffy, but well-made and irresistibly cute.

We might have to use our seat cushions to float on all this goo.

Grace isn't a confident or resourceful enough actor to withstand the film's lopsided focus on Tad, or Duhamel's unexpectedly warm and cheerful presence.

Few people younger than 11 or over 19 will find much to swoon about in this bland picture.

As patently sweet as the trailers and title lead you to believe, and with a cast like this, the audience is the real winner.

Should a film about true love really leave you wanting more Hollywood glitz and less down home charm?

Deeply corny, thoroughly predictable and only barely funny and charming enough to win us over

...a teen movie about a sweet girl-next-door who's actually got a head on her shoulders. But unlike director Luketic, I'm not sure this Cinderella falls for the right fella.

Romantic comedy isn't rocket science, but it's nice to sit through one that makes you laugh, stirs the sentiment, and also leaves you feeling good about all the characters.

The actors, especially Grace, fight hard against a schizoid script (the kids are rubes one sec, hipsters the next) and cotton-candy direction from Robert Luketic.

The cast gives it the real heave-ho. Unfortunately, by the time the movie reaches its...conclusion, the whole audience is tempted to forgo the ho and just simply heave.

Bosworth brings real charm to a character that might easily have come off as a simpering ninny.

It must be admitted that the final 10 minutes of Win A Date With Tad Hamilton! are likable: one cliche following another, but with charming restraint. Or it might just have been that the movie's simple-mindedness wore me down.
